Sardarni Pritam Kaur Gujral, the Chairperson of Saraswati Model High School, is the guiding force behind the school. It was her dream to provide quality education to students, especially those in rural areas. She strongly believes that education is the most powerful tool to create a better future. Her own life story shows the power of education. After losing her husband, she raised six children on her own. Despite the tough times, she believed in the importance of education. Her children grew up to be successful in their careers—one is a financial advisor, another a scientist, and others have also done well in their fields.
This experience inspired her to be part of Saraswati Model High School. She wanted to give poor and rural children the same opportunities to learn and grow. Her belief is that education gives children not just knowledge but also hope and strength for a better life.
